Allow me to go full hater for a moment. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that fall out boy “we didn’t start the fire” cover. It’s literally one of the worst hack jobs I’ve ever seen. Completely unoriginal and lazy. Doesn’t add anything new while also neglecting to follow the spirit of the original.
If anything I can thank them for providing a perfect example for the artistically bankrupt trend of interpreting “we need an [X] for our own generation!!” as meaning we need an exact remake/reboot/reimagining of said thing. How about creating a whole new idea and concept! No that would be too difficult and require creativity and effort. The Disney live action remake of music.
